Our guesthouse is north-facing and offers guests a 180 degree sea view with a direct access to the private beach (2 min). Whales, seals and sometimes orcas swim close to the coast and can be viewed from the garden while enjoying a drink. The kitchen team of our in-house fine dining restaurant treats our guests to sundowners or beautiful dishes. For the adventure seeker, explore South Africa’s beautiful Cape Whale Coast around the Gansbaai area where you’re sure to spot the ‘Marine Big 5’, namely the Southern Right Whales, Seals, Penguins, Dolphins and Great White Sharks. Enjoy endless mountain bike riding trails through the iconic Walkerbay Fynbos landscape, hike through pristine nature trails and age-old Milkwood forests and visit The Klipgat Cave just outside De Kelders in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve. Visit the Lighthouse at Danger Point and view the final resting place of the HMS Birkenhead Troopship. • Follow the N2 out of Cape Town, over Sir Lowry’s Pass and then, as you descend towards Botrivier, take exit 90 to leave the N2.
• Follow the R43 through Hermanus, Stanford and Gansbaai.
• At the four-way intersection as you are leaving Gansbaai, turn right onto Main Road towards Kleinbaai.
• Drive approximately 1.6km to where the road forks, and keep right towards Danger Point.
• Follow this road for another 1.0km and you will see the entrance to the Estate on your right.
• Enter the Estate at the gate and sign in with security to notify them that you are staying at Romans Villa.
• After entering the main gate of the Estate, drive for a few hundred meters,
then turn left into Oystercatcher Road, drive for approximately 1.2km and you will see
Romans Villa Guest House situated on the right-hand side of the road facing the ocean.

The Guest House comprises 6 double bedroom suites with luxury bedding and linen, each with its own spacious en-suite bathroom and private veranda or garden. All suites are decorated unique, have ocean views and are positioned for your ultimate privacy. Rates quoted are on a Per Room Per Night basis (Kids 14+) and include Breakfast.

The living and dining area with fireplace opens up onto the hardwood timber decking leading directly to the swimming pool and the relax area, the private garden and the direct access to the private beach (2 min). The guesthouse also offers an internal fine-dining restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, spa facilities and a very private backyard with a 180 degrees view of the ocean. The free-ranging wildlife on the estate makes a walk more than attractive.
